The Dangote Field Support Engineer recruitment is ongoing for the following positions:

Job Title: Field Support Engineer
Location: Calabar, Cross River, Nigeria

Job Description

The field support engineer is required to provide IT assistance to Dangote customers. The engineer will diagnose and troubleshoot both hardware and software problems and also help in installing applications for customers

The Field Support Engineer is also responsible for resolving network challenges, configuring OS and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support. The Dangote field Engineer will also rectify customer challenges through chat media emails, by responding to quick questions and queries. When it involves complex IT challenges, the incumbent Field engineer will contact customers on a phone call or use a clear medium to rectify whatever issue

Ultimately, Support Engineer should be trusted and reliable. Customers will expectedly rely on the engineer to solve their technical problems

Job Responsibilities

  • Incumbent will research solutions to software and hardware challenges
  • Incumbent will diagnose and rectify technical issues that also includes account setup and configuring network
  • Communicate with customers in bid to understand and resolve their technical or IT challenges
  • Follow up computer system issues until resolution, within stated time limits
  • Direct clients through phone calls, emails or chats to resolve IT issues
  • Redirect unresolved issues to the appropriate and competent internal team
  • Provide timely response to customers
  • Make sure all technical issues are appropriately logged
  • Follow up on clients to authenticate that their IT challenges have been duly resolved
  • Prepare timely and accurate response
  • Document technical knowledge as notes or as manuals

Job Recruitment Requirements

  • Candidate must be willing to relocate to Calabar if he/she is willing to get the Job, since the Job is in Cross River, Calabar
  • Applicant must have a B.Sc in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering like Microsoft, Cisco, Linux.
  • Applicant should have a working experience as a Technical Support Engineer
  • Candidate should know Windows/Linux/Max OS environments and computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Applicant should be able to detect and rectify technical problems
  • Ability to provide step by step guides to solve technical issues
