Job Name: Managing Associate

Location: Lagos, Nigeria.

 

The Job Description

 

We are looking to find a Skilful Managing Associate lawyer to join our Corporate Commercial Practice Group in our Lagos office. The role is seeking a lawyer with 7-10 years of energy industry related M&A corporate and commercial law experience. The successful candidate will have 7-10 years of experience gained at a respected law firm or within an in-house environment in Nigeria.

Once you have joined our firm’s Corporate and Commercial group, you can work on top files and receive the career experience associated with working at a top law firm. Though located in the heart of Ikoyi, Lagos, this firm offers opportunities for career progression in a highly respectful atmosphere. Furthermore, we offer competitive compensation.

Job Requirements

 

  • Legally licensed to practice law in Nigeria with 7-10 years of post-call experience.
  • At least a Merit at LLM level from a recognized university in Nigeria/UK/US/Canada.

Job Name: Commercial Litigation Associate

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job type/duration: Full-time

 

Job Description

 

Managing and providing legal support to the firm in relation to all matters with a diverse range of transactions in energy & natural resources, capital markets, banking and other related matters.

Vital Duties and Responsibilities

  • Incumbent should have oversight responsibility in handling of related litigation matters  for the firm
  • Incumbent must ensure that client relationship are effectively managed
  • Incumbent will oversee compliance in respect of statutory filings of clients matters

Job Qualifications/Requirements

 

Personal Specifications:

 

  • A B.Sc and at least a minimum of Second Class Upper Division from a recognized university and Nigeria Law School
  • Articulative and creative
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent oral and writing skills
  • Sound, effective and enthusiastic communicator.
  • Previous experience in the role would be an added advantage.
  • Versatility & Hardworking.
  • A Strong desire for research
  • Ability to see through objections and provide plausible counter argumentations
  • Ability to take ownership of the role and work with minimum or no supervision.
  • At least 4 years post call experience from a reputable law firm in Lagos
  • Specialized training in ADR related courses would be an added advantage.
